About

Daniel Orlansky, MA, ERYT-500, is a seasoned yoga teacher with a rich teaching experience spanning nearly three decades, starting from 1992. He serves as the director of Boston University’s yoga teacher training program and has been a faculty member at Lesley University, teaching “Yoga: Theory, Culture, and Practice”. A graduate of the Boston Shiatsu School, he holds certifications in Jnana Yoga, Kali Ray TriYoga, Thai Yoga Message, and Kundalini Yoga. He is the innovative mind behind Meridian Yoga, a unique style that blends shiatsu, yoga asana, and the meridian system into a holistic practice for the body and mind.

An enthusiastic student and teacher of qigong, he has combined his two passions—yoga and qigong—into an integrative practice called the Dance of Heaven and Earth. He holds a master’s degree in Expressive Art Therapy/Dance Therapy from Lesley University and conducts workshops and 200—and 500-hour yoga teacher certifications in America and Europe.

He has also taught popular workshops at the Omega Institute and the Kripalu Center for over 20 years, as well as conducted workshops and trainings for groups like Michigan Yoga Association, the Yoga Teachers Association of the Hudson Valley, and the Boston Medical Center Integrative Nurses Association.
