Thai Yoga Massage Training with Jenn Yarro

Foundations of Thai Yoga Massage Certification with Jennifer Yarro

Friday – Monday, February 1st – 4th, 2019 in Beverly, MA

Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing art that combines the alignment of the breath, yoga asana and mindfulness meditation of Metta (loving compassion) into a flowing dance of continuous rhythmic motion to deliver a soothing and revitalizing experience. Based on an understanding of energy lines and marma points in the body, Thai Yoga Massage works with balancing the energetic bodies, freeing and removing any blockages that may be present in the physical, mental, emotional levels. A session of Thai Yoga Massage results in restoring a healthy, balanced energetic flow to the recipient. It is a complete therapeutic treatment on its own, and may also be incorporated into other modalities of massage or into yoga classes.

This training will cover how to give a full 1.5-2 hour session. Content will include an introduction to energy lines, breath work, meditation, utilizing proper body mechanics, chanting and yoga. A certification of the “Foundations of Thai Yoga Massage” will be awarded upon completion of the workshop and practicum. Students will be permitted to attend the Saturday session as a one day experience, otherwise registration is for the entire four day certification.

This program is appropriate for everyone, no prior experience is needed. For yoga teachers, training in Thai Yoga Massage will increase your skill level for hands-on assists, and give you additional tools for one on one sessions. Massage Therapists and bodyworkers will be able to offer full private sessions and/or add elements of Thai Massage to their existing practice. CEU’s for Yoga Alliance and NCBTMB are available upon request.
